As good as it gets, if you like fresh garden herbs, homegrown tomato, fresh homemade pastries, succulent real Maine lobster rolls, I could go on and on. Hands down this is OC's best kept secret. Everything is better than you expect it to be. Maybe because the owner is the cook!!!!!!!

This place is awesome! We loved everything and the service is so friendly! I think the owner is really sweet and everything is made from scratch! A big plus! We recommend the Italian Meatloaf and Jumbo Lump Crab Roll! Amazing! Definitely coming back for breakfast soon. Love this place and is very different from any other OC restaurants.

We were really pleased with the decor and the owner's friendly personality. Very quaint and cute. It was advertised to have a full selection of desserts but the only thing that was available was bread pudding. Hmmm... Or they wanted to sell us cake that was made for a staff member's birthday celebration the previous day... Ummmm... We tried the bread pudding- it was really good but way over priced for the portion. $7.95 for one portion- ouch!!! Overall- the place was very cute but the prices were too gourmet for the offerings and experience. Over priced and slow service.

Came to Lizzie's in search of a quick and easy breakfast and was met with the complete opposite. The service was incredibly slow, the prices were unfair and the food was average. If you're looking for diner food, skip Lizzie's, because it's not your best bet. Your money and time is best spent elsewhere.

Great family run spot on the strip. Fresh ingredients for their pizzas. Can't say anything to other meals, but based on the pizza it's a definite spot to try.

We went to Lizzie's because I read about the Lobster Benedict and I have been craving lobster. While I wouldn't recommend anything at Lizzie's that has lobster in it (more on this later), my husband and I loved our breakfast. He said his challah French toast was one of the best he ever had, and his side sausage was amazeballs. He opted for the upgraded pure maple syrup and it was worth every penny. My Benedict arrived sans lobster. This part of my breakfast was fantastic, and if I hadn't ordered the lobster version I'd have have been pleased. The home fries were delicious, soft and crispy and buttery, and the eggs were gorgeously poached to perfection. They sat atop a piece of melted Swiss and were bathed in a hollandaise that was a little thicker than I like but still really tasty. When I asked about the lobster, it was brought out to me on a small plate. There was a decent amount, but one bite told me it was overcooked. I said something to the female owner and she said, "Oh, we don't cook it. We buy it frozen, fully cooked, and just defrost it in the microwave." She brought me an extra side of hollandaise for it. My husband ate the majority because it was really rubbery. This was thoroughly disappointing, not only because I'd been craving it but because the Lobster Benedict is $24.95. Still, the coffee was smooth and the rest of our food incredibly tasty. The atmosphere is European cafe and adorable. We went on a Friday morning, so service wasn't slow, and the owner brought us a bowl of conversation starter blocks that we had fun playing with while waiting for our food. The owner's a little off, though. Like, she brought us an extra dish for used creamers, and when I put one on the table she came right over and said, "No, no, I brought you a dish. That keeps the table nice and neat." And when I asked if the eggs were pasteurized (I'm pregnant and avoiding undercooked pasteurized eggs) she got really freaked out by the question. It was just a bit uncomfortable. After hearing about their homemade bread pudding, my husband and I think we might return for dessert. We would definitely go back again, just not order anything with lobster.

I don't get it! What is the deal with all the cheap business owners hiring cheap Eastern European help? It's the end of August, learn some frigging English!!! Learn the menu at least! Now...the service sucks, that you should know walking in the door. It's hot as hell as they don't run the air as they think a screen door can offset the heat of multiple ovens. While typing this review a couple stormed out after sitting 15 minutes without being approached my the server. The food was mistly good and a little bad. Burrito was small but tasty, eggs Benedict were good, french toast and pancakes were good as was the creamed chipped beef. The potatoes were tiny burnt and nasty. The English speaking older man was a bit argumentative but I think he knows the problems but either doesn't care or has no power to change anything. My ending recommendation is life is short, avoid this place. Beakfast sets the mood of the day and this place will put you in a bad one.

Loved this place. It's super cute inside, but a little cluttered. Our food was great. Fresh herbs accompanied our omelettes and breakfast burrito. Homemade bread was a wonderful treat. A bit disappointed in the half and half packets; would have loved real cream, but other than that it was great.

I'll keep this short: unfortunately I have to echo the other negative reviews here. The owners are absolutely lost and a clusterfuck to deal with. Service is incredibly slow even to fulfill the most basic order. Getting drinks took 20 minutes. Appetizers took ~35 minutes. It took their kitchen over an hour to churn out 2 pizzas (partially hurt by their giving away one of our pizzas to another table that came in 30 minutes after us, a mistake they couldn't even acknowledge). All through this time the wife owner is remarking how they're fulfilling the orders as fast as they can and that good food takes time. No, it actually doesn't take that long for a pizza to cook if you have someone halfway competent making it. Speaking of which, that brings me to the husband owner. The wife is scatterbrained but good intentioned; the husband is an asshole. My mom is diabetic and needed to eat, so this wasn't just an issue of convenience. When we finally got our food we mention the wait time, and the husband owner actually snapped at us for speaking up. It's one thing if a place has an older chef who is no longer competent (why they wouldn't hire him some help is another issue) and cannot churn out orders efficiently; it's another situation when that asshole get indignant about it and snaps at paying customers. We walked out right then. Below is an account of what we did try, and the results weren't good anyway. The appetizers were very disappointing. The "garlic hearts" turned out to be tiny bites of pizza dough shaped into hearts that were then dressed like garlic knots. They weren't bad, just mediocre; what was bad was the portion. For $6 you got like 8 of these things which maybe added up to the amount of food in 1 single garlic knot total at a pizzeria. The chicken tenders were baked not fried which fits with the restaurant's healthy mantra, but they turned out to be mediocre as well. They were poorly breaded, not cut into actual tenders which made eating them difficult, and all in all just plain old bland. The crab roll I got before the pizza fiasco was alright, but pricey at $19 for a small portion. They overdid it with the celery here, but at least they shaved it so that it wasn't too concentrated. Do yourself a favor and don't come here. Other than a small cute factor there is no redeeming quality. Go somewhere you can actually relax during your vacation instead.

We were very pleased and impressed. I stopped in to grab a dessert- got the chocolate cake- to die for btw....Cathy convinced me to come back for dinner they had a turkey dinner special. The turkey dinner was outstanding. My husband had pizza and loved it. We ordered carry out a day later- Chicago style pizza and lobster roll- both excellent!

Stopped at Lizzie's for an early dinner. It has an adorable French bistro look. The wait staff was very friendly...our waitress gave our 3 year old daughter a Disney memory game to play with while we waited for food. The Neil cheeseburger was pretty amazing. It tasted more like a meatball or meatloaf with Mediterranean spices than an ordinary burger. Was so juicy and tender it didn't need any condiments. We tried the pizza which was great...crust was perfect. My daughter had the chicken fingers which were oven baked and although there's only so much sophistication you can bring to a chicken finger, they were the best I have ever had. I was surprised by some of the bad reviews that this place received. I hope this place lasts cause I plan on returning.

Loved it. While the restaurants around us were an hour or more wait we sat right down. Owners are super friendly, books for kids to read. Lobster roll was amazing. One of our new favorite places!

Greatest deep-dish pizza on planet earth. Quite cheesy but if you can't handle the cheese...then stay outta the Lizzies. The owners are husband and wife & they are just the cutest little old people. It has a small, but homey feel to it.

I went with my family tonight while vacationing at Bethany beach. The kids had the pizza which was very good. My wife had the lobster roll and I had the crab cake sandwich. Both were truly outstanding. Everything is homemade. Definitely would recommend the food here.

Skip this place unless glacier-slow service for average, over-priced food is your jam... Went for breakfast on a Sunday in August. Insanely slow service... never received drinks we ordered (we ate our breakfasts without any drinks)... took almost 90 minutes to get out of a restaurant that had a bunch of open tables... the staff never seemed to be helping anyone... they just lingered behind the counter. Getting their attention would have taken a flare gun I'm guessing. When I mentioned how long it took to get our food the rude waitress actually debated it with me... unreal. The food is fine... average. My girlfriend's crab omelette was made with canned crab and came out cold. Not ok for a $21 omelette. I had pancakes that were... pancakes. At $49 before tip (yes, I still left a tip cause I'm a sucker like that) it was extremely overpriced. The service, however, was abysmal.

The food at this hidden gem is absolutely amazing. The environment is laid back and inviting. The two owners, Cathy and Neil, both prepare all the food fresh themselves. Their menu has all of the breakfast/lunch classics as well as some home made specialties. The cinnamon bun is also to die for! I recommend this place to all my friends coming into town looking for great food at a reasonable price. I also love supporting family owned businesses and look forward to coming back next time I find myself in Ocean City!!!!

Pricey and super slow service (with a lot of excuses from the kitchen) but nice friendly people. However if you have the time, the food is pretty good and you are supporting a family business.

Ate breakfast with family. Pros: quaint atmosphere. Relaxing. Good coffee. Food was good not great. Service was nice. Other people in the cafe were also very nice. Best thing we ordered was the chipped beef. Warmed syrup for pancakes was classy. If mgmt is reading, here are some suggestions: don't use prepackaged creamers; mushrooms in my omelette were canned not fresh; upgrade the jams on the table (smuckers strawberry screams diner, not cafe)

Had lunch food & service was awesome. I had turkey & swiss on homemade wheat bread, son had BLT on homemade white bread,my mom ordered hot cornbeef sandwich on homemade bread and Tom ordered 3 cheese Italian meatloaf, greenbeans & samashed taters! You definitely get what you pay for in portion and quality! looking forward to going back July 2014.

Delicious! My mom and I made it a point to come back here again as we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I've been visiting OC for years since childhood, I must say this is my favorite breakfast and lunch place in all of OC.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while. Their breakfast menu looked particularly interesting, so I decided to give it a shot. I ordered the Lobster Benedict medium. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the lobster blended nicely with the dish. It comes with provolone cheese, which I am not a fan of so I asked them to leave it off. I'm also not a huge fan of holland aisle, so they were able to put it on the side. The cinnamon sugar toast I Ordered was delicious, as were the home fries that accompanied the dish. Service, everything was fine. Like many places in Ocean City they hire students from Eastern Europe, so they were still working out all the kinks (the very friendly owner said they had just opened a few days ago). I'll come back to try their lobster roll and deep dish pizza for sure!

Went in for breakfast this morning. Very cute French bistro feel. We were blown away with the great food. We travel a lot and my husband manages a restaurant, So we are pretty discerning customers. My husband said his blueberry pancakes were the best he has ever had. I had eggs Benedict and it was outstanding as well. I don't think I've ever posted a review before but I really hope the word gets out about this place and they are around for years to come!!! Can't wait to go back and try the lobster roll!

Incredible food, incredible service, incredible people. My family and I have been coming here since they opened. The restaurant has just as much personality as the people and the food is delicious! Best mom and pop shop in town! This is the real Ocean city!

My family and I ate here recently and had a great experience. The food was very good, we especially enjoyed the pizza. The crust was cooked just right, slightly crunchy on the outside, but nice and soft on the inside. The desserts were great. The 1/4 pound cookies were soft and delicious. The staff was pleasant and the owner came out to talk with us for a little while. We look forward to going back, this time for breakfast (which they serve all day now).

My husband and I was looking for a different kind of place today to eat breakfast. I saw the great reviews on yelp and we decided to visit Lizzie's. We are happy we did. The place is clean and pretty inside. Looks like a real little Bistro right in OC. I had the French toast which was 3 slices of challah bread and my husband got the creamed chipped. Both served with a small slice of watermelon., and both were delicious. We are so glad we found this quaint little gem. The rest of the menu looks great. Can't wait to try lunch and dinner!

My family went to LIzzie's for breakfast on our way out of town. We arrived with a party of 10 to a full restaurant. Certainly we expected a bit of a wait, but we waited for over an hour for our food. Once the food came out, it arrived as 4 dishes then 2 more then 2 more. We then reminded the owner that 2 of the kids did not receive simple plain bagels with cream cheese. The food was fine but certainly not worth the wait. When we attempted to explain our disappointment to the owner, every apology came with a "but". She did not offer any genuine understanding, only rationale as to why we should have expected such an experience. I would not go back and certainly not with hungry children.

  • Libby D.

If you are looking for an enjoyable meal, avoid this place! There are so many other better options. Horrible service! Never had such rude service. Was greeted with 'you just need to wait, I'm busy right now' not a 'good morning' or 'welcome' like you'd expect from a restaurant. The staff kept yelling and bickering at each other in front of customers which was very awkward. It was overpriced, definitely not for families with kids and just not relaxing. I'm not sure how this place stays in business. We couldn't wait to leave and we won't be back!

Great food. Very quaint "mom & pop" business that is committed to great service and great food. Down side is that sometimes as a small business they're a bit overwhelmed. We get multiple meals every vacation.

We wandered into Lizzie's today after seeing a movie and thought we would try the pizza. We were immediately impressed with the warm and inviting atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff, especially the owner Cathie. We ordered meatballs for an appetizer, They were delicious and we sopped up every bit of sauce with the fabulous bread. We ordered the Margherita pizza. It was beautifully presented on an elevated stand. The crust, fresh basil, tomatoes and quality cheese set this pizza apart from any we have had in OC - maybe anywhere! It was amazing! We took a menu home and are looking forward to coming back for breakfast and for dinner. We couldn't resist the one last sticky bun in the case and bought it to take home. The muffins, cakes brownies and pies were all so tempting. So happy that this rainy day movie time led us to this fabulous restaurant. Try it out. You will not be disappointed!

Lizzie's is as close as you can get to a homestyle restaurant, and by "homestyle," I mean bad memories of dinners at a relative's house - the ones that may be decent cooks but can't quite get anything together. I'm not giving them one star because the a/c didn't work, not because it took an hour for our food after the breakfast rush (there is a sign out front warning you not to be in a rush), not even because they spilled mimosas all over our table, clothes, in a purse and on the floor, but because after two trips back to the kitchen, this place that's known for breakfast couldn't get the eggs right (plus the steak was overcooked). The owners are very friendly and apologetic,I loved the atmosphere and family pictures on the walls, but since they aren't my family, I'm probably not going back.

I came with my family for breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised, so much so that we came back the next morning. We tried the breakfast sandwich, multigrain pancakes, cinnamon buns, sticky buns, Alex's favorite and the oatmeal. everything was delicious. it takes a little while to get your meal but, to be fair, there is a warning on the menu! Everything is cooked to order and it shows. great find in ocean city!

My friend and I walked in for breakfast. The place is somewhat small, but charming with family photos on the walls and used books on the window sills. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Even though the menu urges patience, as everything is prepared to order, our food came out pretty fast. I got the French Toast, which is generously thick slices of terrific homemade challah bread, cooked just right - not mushy or soggy with eggs. The menu says you get three slices, but my plate had four. Even though the fourth slice was small - like from the narrow end of the loaf - I couldn't eat it because I was so stuffed. My friend got the crab cake and two eggs, which come with home fries and toast. She loved the crab cake, said it was delicious with very little filler. I will definitely go back whenever I'm in Ocean City.

We were in Ocean City, MD for a girls getaway/bachelorette, based on where we were staying and yelp -- this place seemed to be the next best option. From the outside, it looked pretty big...but I guess it's smaller than it appeared since we were ushered to wait in the parking lot since our group of 8 was too big. They got us a table outside, but it was more like on a small sidewalk. The waitress sucked. She dumped our utensils on the table for us to pass out & this was after she told us to get our own chairs & before she told us to pass a long our own food. Hey if tip is going to be forced onto our bill, you better do most of the legwork, yes I will be petty. Most of us were craving soup & ordered soup plus whatever else. The restaurant had NO soup, even though there were 3 soups highlighted on the menu. There was a place next door that sold soup, so we went to buy 2 quarts. When we asked our waitress for 8 bowls, tried to tell us they did not have 8 bowls. Ok, really? There's is no soup being sold today and yet you don't have 8 bowls available. You're operating a restaurant with less utensils than your capacity? REALLY? The waitress proceeds to ask us to wait while she "checked in" the kitchen, came back out with 8 bowls and said we normally don't do this, but we will for you girls... Oh thanks, we're so grateful? Not sure if I should pin this on the restaurant or the waitress. FOOD: It was pretty pricey for the quality of food that they served. I got the grilled salmon sandwich, came w/ a small bag of chips. It was flavorless, I took 3 bites and left it alone. The other girl who also got the salmon felt the same way. OVERALL: This place would have a negative rating if it were possible. Service sucked. Food sucked. Waiting time sucked. This made me write my first yelp review...that's the extent of how much they SUCKED!

  • Jim K.

The service was poor and they got my order wrong after I explained that I wanted my hollandaise sauce on the side. The milk was warm and it too forever. The owner realizing her waitress was struggling tried to help but only made it worse. When we were finished, the owner asked if my friends daughter she used the small cup of syrup? The table next to us was looking for more syrup... Really? Now I wonder if any of my food was recycled.... And lastly it was way over priced and the food was average at best Stay away!!

  • Patti R.

I ordered the crab cake and eggs - best crab cake I've ever had! My husband'd blueberry pancakes were great too. The restaurant was very busy so the service was a little slow, but the food was definitely worth the short wait. The menu is really extensive so we can't wait to go back and try a few more things!

Stopped by for a pizza. the owners were there and they clearly have a lot of pride in the place. The pizzas are made to order so be prepared for a longer than normal wait. We enjoyed the pizza. I thought the sauce was exceptional. I prefer a thinner crust, but this crust was flavorful. My only complaint about the pizza is the cheese. I found the cheese to be a bit dull. The rest of the menu also looked interesting. If we come back to town, we would probably come back here. Also looks very promising for breakfast considering how much baking is done on premise.

If you find your foodie stomach aching for something delicious in Ocean City, MD, look no further than Lizzie's. Returning to Ocean City for a family reunion after a 13 year absence and a California pampered palate, I was thrilled to find a place that cooks with real heart and ingredients. Pancakes and baked goods made the old fashioned way, from scratch. During our week my family visited 3 times and here's a sampling of what we enjoyed: Peach muffin. Absolutely fantastic! I don't even think peaches when I think baked goods but this one was warm and wonderful. Red Velvet cake. To die for. Literally. A huge chunk of the cake weighing in at 5lbs. Eaten over the course of a couple morning breakfasts. It's vacation, so why not?? Pancakes. Yep, knocked them out of the park. Home fries. "Best ever!", said by my husband who knows a thing or two about quality ingredients and satisfied stomachs. Coffee Cake with coffee. Both very good. My mom enjoyed these before our breakfasts arrived. The cake, like everything else was fresh and left us wanting more. Thanks, Lizzie and co. for working hard to make a top notch product in an inviting atmosphere!

We just finished eating here and the food was DEEEELISHHH! We waked in and there was a sign saying "if your in a rush dont come in" I kinda got a little worried it was going to take like 2 hours for food but it only took like 15-20 mins. Honestly what I learned is If you want something done right/ good you have to wait! The food was great everything was FRESH. The omelette was amazing, the home fries were great. The orange juice tasted so fresh. I couldn't say anything bad. Plus it was cozy && def felt like home. The owner Kathy was very friendly and talked to us like we were friends not customers. Really enjoyed this place and would recommend it to everyone.

Lizzie's is a new restaurant at the far north end of the Ocean City Coastal Highway. I had spotted it when I was at the movie theater next door and thought it looked worth a try. Our family was pleasantly surprised and had an excellent meal. The cream of crab soup was delicious and flavorful. The burger "sliders" offered as an appetizer were enough for a meal, with onions and a few spices mixed in with the meat, and a choice of cheese. My husband's crab salad inspired him to use the kind of descriptions we usually make fun of on the Food Network. The decor was friendly and cozy, the service almost too attentive. The desserts sounded great but none of us had enough room to try them. Next time.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations.
